Matt Bailey was appointed athletic director and physical education teacher of Columbus Torah Academy in August 2003. He has served in various roles of the coaching staff in baseball, basketball, and volleyball.  In 2004 he began the school’s baseball program with fellow teacher Steve Guinan, serving as the assistant coach.  He coached baseball at Torah Academy for 10 years. 
As athletic director, Coach Bailey has added girls varsity and middle school softball, middle school soccer, in addition baseball. He graduated from the Capital University in 2002 with a B.A. degree in Physical Education and in Health Education.
In 2008, on behalf of CTA he received THE GOLD AWARD from the Ohio Association Physical and Health Education, Recreation and Dance for a Quality Education Program.
In 2010,  he Co-Created with Steve Guinan,  the "Jewish World Series" where Columbus Torah Academy hosts other Jewish High Schools from across the United States in a weekend of baseball held at he Jewish Community Center in Bexley, Ohio.  One of the biggest HIGH School out-of-state tournaments in the Nation. 
From Summer of 2015 through last Summer, Matt coached 3 years in the Ohio Stingrays Fastpitch softball organization, and 6 years in the nationally known Beverly Bandit organization. 
He and his wife, Kirsten (the middle school volleyball coach), have four children and reside in Blacklick, Ohio.
